Since the ancient ages, good wine went with men along their life path: this irreplaceable drink is used to be mentioned on the Odyssey, told by Baudelaire....history and literature always gave to wine a very important role which matches with Divinity's nectar, godlike drink.

Tuscany is a whole winding hills with straight vines' rows plenty of precious grapes which become marvelous wines like Chianti, Brunello and Morellino. Their quality is guaranteed by tasting and pragmatic criteria as the certifications of origin: the Tuscany excellence kinds are represented by 9 wines D.O.C.G. branded (Denominazione Origine Controllata e Garantita) and 39 D.O.C ones!
Our San Miniato hills offer to guests and visitors several labeled wines: Chianti d.o.c.g., Chianti delle Colline Pisane, some i.g.t. wines named "SuperTuscans", some d.o.c. ones like Bianco di San Torpé!
Mostly tilled vines kind is San Giovese, gathered with a certain percentage of Canaiolo Nero, Colorino, Trebbiano Toscano, Malvasia of Chianti, San Colombano... while some others have been added through the years: Cabernet, Merlot, Tempranillo and Syrah.

In Tuscany, grapes harvest is still lived like a fair gathering entire families and friends: it's a tribute to mother nature who has been generous with our land.
The farmers are absolutely proud of their products, indeed they are very very glad to spend time with visitors and explain them the process steps and customs which make the our wine so gorgeous.
It's possible to spend the whole day long during a vacation, visiting the ancient cellars and tasting wines. Usually the wine tasting is matched with typical Tuscan dishes... obviously including San Miniato white truffle.
